AVFRD Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in the Ashburn Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department! Volunteers are the heart of our organization, and there are many ways to serve. From firefighting and EMS to administrative support.

You must be at least 16 years old to be a volunteer with AVFRD.

If you are 16 or 17 years old, we only accept applications from individuals who reside in Loudoun County and are currently enrolled in the EMT program at the Academies of Loudoun. AVFRD will be launching a new Junior Member program in late 2026 or early 2027.
