Needs From: Volunteer Loudoun

We are currently looking for volunteers ages 16-18 to fill two roles:

1)  Student artists and creators who would like to share their talents by teaching 2-hour classes in:

-Arts & crafts
-Painting
-Drawing
-Creative projects
-Any artistic skill or creative activity

2) Student volunteers who would like to support camp leaders and help create a fun, welcoming, and positive environment for kids throughout the summer camps.

Students can volunteer for one day or multiple days. If you are interested in either role, please email Andres Uribe at volunteer@aplacetobeva.org

Here is the camp schedule:

Sterling (Monday–Friday)
Week 1: June 15–19
Week 2: June 22–26
Week 9: August 10–14

Leesburg (Monday–Friday)
Week 4: July 6–10
Week 6: July 20–24
Week 7: July 27–August 1
Week 8: August 3–7

This summer, there are nine weeks of camp in Sterling and Leesburg that will serve about 50 kids each week. Many of the mentors are former participants who are now giving back to their community. If interested, please email Andres Uribe at andres@aplacetobeva.org

The needs include:
-Artists (photography, painting, drawing, crafts, etc.)
-STEAM volunteers (robotics, drones, science, etc.)
-Gardening or flower enthusiasts
-Musicians
-Performers (magicians, entertainers)
-Storytellers
-Dancers
-General volunteers
